Four weeks in the life of an ON Call Handyman
Today...I have fitted a bathroom washbasin and new taps in one property picked up, delivered and fitted a new integral fridge in another.
Yesterday ...I spent most of the day in an under-stairs cupboard laying and soldering the copper pipe work for the plumbing to the new bathroom (see today) and I hung and connected three radiators in their respective bedrooms.
The two days before...majority of my time was spent measuring, cutting and fitting insulation and plasterboard.
Last week...a mixed week with three different jobs a couple of days were spent fitting deep wooden skirting boards another couple of day were spent fitting internal door frames, one day was a fiddly day I hung some heavy shelving and curtain poles with metal tie back brackets for a customer and measured up the walls of an en-suite bathrooms for tiling and painting in a couple of weeks.
Planned for next week...what I know at the moment is things change all the time when on-call but what I have planned are the following: painting a sitting room, ceiling, walls and skirting boards. Then refitting the curtain poles and brackets, hanging a mirror, changing some light fittings and putting up pictures. Fitting a dishwasher. Making and delivering a veg-table.
Finally, if Deb is very lucky and things stay relatively quiet she might get some help in the garden or I might make a start on the stripping work on another one of her up-cycling pieces.
Or maybe not...I bet the phone rings with a job, fingers crossed...shhh! Yes it rang, a lady who I have worked for before, she would like a new garden fence and her outside windows gloss painted and gutters cleared. Deb's up-cycling will have to wait. Any questions and a quote - please just ask!
